Just Ride Snowboarding – Participant Waiver and Release Form

Operating at the Chill Factore, Manchester (UK)
Applicable to Coaching on the Main Slope, Terrain Park, and Moguls 

 

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING

 

This waiver is a binding legal document. By signing below, you agree to the terms and conditions of participation in snowboard coaching sessions delivered by Just Ride Snowboarding, operating at  the Chill Factore, Manchester.

 

1. Acknowledgement of Risk

 

I understand and accept that snowboarding is an inherently risky activity which involves unpredictable terrain, variable surface conditions, and potential hazards including (but not limited to) moguls, jumps, rails, boxes, collisions with other persons or objects, and falls. These risks apply equally on the main slope, in the terrain park, and on moguls, and can lead to serious injury, permanent disability, or death.
I willingly assume all such risks associated with participation in coaching sessions, including travel to and from the Chill Factore.

 

2. Medical & Physical Fitness Declaration

 

I certify that I (or my child) am in good physical health and do not suffer from any condition that would prevent safe participation. I understand that it is my responsibility to notify the coach or company of any medical conditions or medications that may impact safety on the slope.

 

3. Mandatory Equipment Policy

 

I acknowledge that wearing a helmet is mandatory at all times during coaching sessions, regardless of slope area or activity. I understand that failure to comply with this requirement may result in removal from the session for safety reasons.

 

4. Release of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under UK law, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Just Ride Snowboarding, its coaches, employees, directors, agents, and contractors from any and all liability for injury, illness, property damage, or death arising out of participation in the coaching sessions.
This waiver does not exclude liability for death or personal injury resulting from proven negligence under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.

 

5. Chill Factore Facility Compliance

I agree to abide by all posted rules, staff instructions, and Chill Factore operational guidelines. I understand that the Chill Factore may remove any participant who fails to comply with safety rules or exhibits unsafe behaviour.
